Minion Mayhem to Celebrate #4

Here are some of the pictures from Caleb's party.  Caleb and Lydia both helped mix the brightly colored batter for his cupcakes.  Each made one of the colors.  They were very proud of their yummy creations.

It was a joy to watch Caleb enjoy his party.  When he was opening his presents it hit me, how he did last year doing the same thing.  This year he knew what to do and didn't need any help.  Although his sister offered to help since he wasn't unwrapping them at lightening speed.

He didn't mind being the center of attention during the presents and was able to stay focused on his task.  He loved his party with "jelly guns" water play, and jumping on our new trampoline.

At bedtime he whispered in my ear, "I will be 5 and then 6 and then I want a Handy Manny party."  I thick we can call it a success.  A special day for a special boy.

I won!

Occasionally I let my 2 blogs collide, today is one of those days.  I usually keep my scrapbook blog free of family news and vise-versa on the family blog.  But this news it too exciting not to share.

One of my pages for the opening of Two Moose Designs was chosen as Layout of the Week at theStudio!  I won a coupon to the store and bragging rights for the week :)

Here is a look at the winning page!

Caleb turned 2!

Caleb turned 2 last week and we celebrated all week long.  We added a birthday theme to or preschool this week so we did some fun coloring worksheets and learned party vocabulary, in addition to our regular school work.

Wednesday was his birthday so we started the day with birthday pancakes and made a crown for the birthday boy.  He picked out the stickers to put on his crown and had fun wearing it throughout the day.
Before bed we skyped with Grandma and Grandpa Erickson and opened their present, a box full of Thomas trains for the train table.  He immediately wanted them open and went off to play.  We had to pull him away from the table to eat cupcakes.  He was more interested in the trains than the cupcake.

We continued celebrating on Saturday when we opened his present from Grandma and Grandpa Heren which was 3 books which were enjoyed by all.

We then headed out for a birthday adventure.  We went to Downtown Disney and rode the kiddie train.  Caleb wasn't so sure about it during the ride but was very sad to have to leave.
More Train!

We also shared some great ice cream while the kids danced in the Waterfront Dance Party.  Lydia enjoyed looking at the stars when we finally left after a beautiful sunset and after dark.

On Sunday at church Caleb moved up to the Toddler Class at church with Lydia.  Mommy wasn't quite ready for this one.  He also moved to a twin bed this week in the same room as Lydia and Sunday we rearranged and decorated to room for both kids to share.

Happy Birthday Mommy and Me

A special little girl wanted to be a special present for her mama, by coming on her birthday.  Today we celebrate them both.

Lydia is becoming a young child and leaving toddler behind.  She makes her opinions known loudly.  She likes to be a good helper and often will set the table for dinner.  She enjoys playing on her very own computer and watching Wallace and Gromit Movies.  She prefers to wear dresses and tights most days to pants.  She is our little girl and she brightens our life.
